Prepared by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the World Youth Report on Youth Civic Engagement explores young people’s participation in economic, political and community life, responding to growing interest in, and an increased policy focus on, youth civic engagement in recent years among Governments, young people and researchers. The Report provides thematic insights on economic, political and community engagement, coupled with expert opinion pieces so as to provide robust and varied perspectives into youth engagement.
The International AIDS Conference took place from 18 to 22 July 2016 in Durban, South Africa. The conference is the premier gathering for those working in the field of HIV, as well as policy makers, persons living with HIV and other individuals committed to ending the pandemic, as it represents a chance to assess where we are, evaluate recent scientific developments and lessons learnt, and collectively chart a course forward.

The United Nations Secretary-General’s Global Education First Initiative (UNSG GEFI) will organize an Eastern Europe Regional Advocacy Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) for young people from 3 to 6 May 2016 in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova.
Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Moldova, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Peer to Peer Education Network, Y-PEER Moldova, the workshop aims to build the capacity of dynamic youth leaders from Eastern Europe to advocate for global citizenship education.

The application process is open for the New Silk Way International Model United Nations conference that will take place in Almaty on 29 April -1 May, 2016!
This university-level Model UN conference is the largest of its kind in Central Asia and will involve participants from Central and South Asia, as well as Europe. NSW MUN will provide the opportunity to practice and develop your skills as you move forward in your careers, and serve as a networking platform for young leaders.
The financial support is available for the participants from the following countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan and India.
