The theme for this year’s World Population Day celebrated on July 11 is “Vulnerable Populations in Emergencies”. The world is seeing a record number of people displaced by crises – some 60 million according to the latest UN figures. UNFPA works in emergency settings around the globe to respond to the rights and needs of women and girls, helping them maintain their dignity, securing their safety, and restoring their access to sexual and reproductive health care.

With this occasion, the young volunteers engaged in the Youth Voice campaign have conducted an outreach camping, with the support of IPPF, ACPD and UNFPA Albania.

UNFPA Albania has also organized an event at the Summer School Academy for Minority Rights in Voskopojë. The Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Mr Bledi Klosi, UNFPA Country Director for Albania, Mr. Ian McFarlane, activists of human rights and the Youth Voice activists were among the distinguished guests and participants of the event.
